Dr. Asimul Islam is actively involved in basic research in the field of protein folding. He has published more than 90 papers in peer-reviewed journals with 1169 citations (H-index = 19 & i-10 Index = 45). He has completed various major research projects, which were funded by different agencies like DST, ICMR, CSIR and UGC. He was bestowed with DST young scientist fast track award. He is member of various national and international scientific bodies like Life member of Iran Society of Biophysical Chemistry (ISOBC), Life member of Indian Immunology Society, Life member of Society of Biological Chemists, Life member of National Magnetic Resonance Society, Life member of Indian Biophysical Society, Life Member of protein Society (India) and Member of The European Peptide Society. He has been instrumental in organsing more than 15 national and international conference at Jamia Millia Islamia. He has guided 12 Ph.D. and M.Phil students.
