Prof. Dr. Slavko Kralj is a senior scientific research associate at the Department of Materials Synthesis at the Jožef Stefan Institute and an professor at the Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Ljubljana. He has been involved in research on the synthesis and functionalization of magnetic nanoparticles for about 15 years. He frequently publishes his work in journals with high impact factors such as ACS Nano, Angewandte Chemie, ACS Applied Materials & Interfaces, Nano Research, Nanoscale, Chemical Communication, Nanotoxicology, Cancers and similar. Dr. Kralj has participated in the publication of 90 scientific articles in peer-reviewed international journals, with his h-index being 34 (g scholar). He has led the success of domestic and international projects within the IJS with a total budget exceeding EUR 2.0 million. Dr. Kralj is also a co-founder of a nanotechnology company (Nanos SCI), which markets advanced solutions in the field of magnetic nanoparticles worldwide.
